One of the most difficult things a woman will do in her lifetime is make the choice to step into her power. It takes courage, truth, and vulnerability to allow yourself to be seen, and that’s where true power resides. Getting vulnerable is tough, especially when it feels like it’s just you on the battlefield. If you've been following my journey, you’ve probably seen how this past year has been one of challenge and reflection - a battle with the old and the new.

From my experience, leaning into the discomfort of vulnerability was not an option, I have an Italian family - smile and act like everything is ok. The difficult thing is that vulnerability was the last thing I wanted or was willing to show.

I got lost somewhere along the way people-pleasing, and pushing my emotion aside was the only way I knew how to protect myself. Over time, shame came into play, and I worried about what others thought, am I good enough? This became a ripple effect - hustling for my worthiness rather than standing in it.

Vulnerability is not weakness. It's about the willingness to show up and be seen when you can't control the outcome and it's actually our greatest measure of courage. So show up in an authentic way, and let us see your hearts. - @brenebrown

For once, I’ve stood true to myself and pushed forward on a journey of authenticity. I've realized that unless we have truly reached a point in our lives we are ready for change and growth, we will stand outside the arena repeating the same cycles over and over again. There's no magic pill, we'd rather have shortcuts to happiness and it's only temporary.

I’ve faced some of my biggest fears and continue to push forward, and stand in my truth - no matter what.
